An electric element is a wise option for those who want a radiator but have not got the requisite plumbing, or for those who want flexibility as to which radiators they want to use at any one time. Our elements are best suited for use in heated towel rails or bathroom radiators. They can, however, be used on any suitably sized radiator that you would like to convert to a cast iron electric radiator.
Electric Elements work by using electricity to heat a thin metal rod which sits inside the radiator. This heats the fluid inside the radiator which subsequently heats your room. The benefits to using an Electric heating element are that you can place your radiator exactly where you want it without having to plumb it into a system. By using an electric heating element you can heat specific rooms without turning on and off an entire heating system. By converting your radiator to an electric radiator, you gain a greater flexibility in your heating system. You can save on heating costs by making a bedroom or living room warm whilst leaving the system in the rest of the house off. This will save you money and energy whilst also keeping you warm.

When using an electric radiator element you must ensure that your radiator is filled with water in accordance with the instructions, we recommend that you use an Inhibitor & Protector in your radiator, which is included in many of the conversion kit bundles we offer.
